It's the Little Things Link-Up: Baby on the Move!

Hello, Hello, Hello! I'm happy to say that I'm back with a new post. Ashley @ Words About Waverly  and her "It's the Little Things Link-Up" really motivates me to keep up with my blogging; once again, I am linking up with her for this post. And if you follow my blog, you know that I have a little princess who melts my heart. Yes, she is THE LOVE of my life. But I must admit that I don't necessarily always love it when she gets into certain things. She is now 10 months old, crawls all over the place, and follows me around in her walker. So, you can imagine all the stuff she wants to do now that she is mobile.

Exhibit A:

She absolutely loves to play with the blinds on the kitchen door. And the first time I caught her, I immediately ran over to teach her that she cannot play with them. So, she stopped. And three minutes later, she was at it again! And I ran over to her again, and she stopped. And the cycle continued for a couple more times until.....I realized that one day I'm going to miss little things like this! Sure, in a perfect world, we'd all have Pinterest-worthy homes. But this is her home too, so why not let her explore it and get to know it better? As long as she's being supervised, I am okay with it. I have yet to replace the blinds. And hey, it's a great conversation starter when we have guests over!

Discipline is so hard with a smile like this!

Update and It's The Little Things Link-up!

Hello, there! It has been way too long since my last post. But I have very valid reasons! First of all, (even though I am a SAHM), I realized that I wanted to have even more interaction with my little girl. Sure, I'm the only person she is with 24/7, but I wanted to work on our bonding. We all know that being a SAHM, there's always something to do. Whether I was cooking or cleaning or washing bottles, I often found myself trying to "distract" her with a toy or some other activity. And now I see that I want to be on her level (literally). I have been spending a lot of time with her on the floor, playing with lots of toys and doing lots of activities! I told myself, "Everything else can wait!". Most of my day is dedicated entirely to her. And as a result, I am very busy in the evenings. And with my never-ending "Spring Cleaning To-Do List", I haven't found much time to blog. But now that I am working on a routine, I will definitely make sure to find time for my readers. I absolutely love to blog and will do my best to do it regularly. And now that I've updated you on what I've been up to, I'd like to use this post to participate in the It's The Little Things link-up with Ashley at Words About Waverly. I really enjoy reading her blog and love the idea of the link-up. So, one of the 'little things' that I love about my relationship with my daughter is when we go out as a family and I sit next to her in the back seat of the car. I take this time to really talk to her and make funny faces and make her laugh like crazy! I love it because I can just sit down until we reach our destination and truly enjoy her reactions. Here's a photo during our last trip to the grocery store:

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Thursday: OOTD

Hello!! It is a colorless, rainy day today. But that won't stop my Peanut from looking adorable in a vibrant, ruffled dress. This piece had been in her closet for quite a while, and today's weather was the perfect excuse to grab it. I was immediately drawn to it as I browsed the web for baby clothes a few months ago. I love the multi-colored plaid neck and the matching embroidered pony on the chest. Since the dress had enough colors of its own, I opted for solid grey tights, tan shoes, and (of course) a matching flower headband. She's such a cutie!
I'm so in love with this little human being!
The drool is not included; it is completely optional!
Here's a better look at the ruffled, plaid neck.

Spring Has Arrived....WOOH HOOH!!

I's been almost a month since my last post! Well, I have been super busy, but mostly, I've been savoring every new milestone. I cannot believe my little girl is already 8 months old! She also says 'Mommy' and 'Daddy', and she's the biggest clown I've ever met (don't let the "shyness" fool you). It's amazing how time flies. I'm so happy that it's officially Spring and can't wait to take her to the playground. And in celebration of the new season, I dressed her in a comfy jersey jumpsuit (linked below).  If you love it, it's currently on sale at  Thanks for visiting!

OOTD: Wednesday

If you read Monday's post, you know that I'm excited about Spring. In the meantime, however, I have to keep my princess warm! And for today's outfit, I chose a striped sweater dress (Crazy 8), layered over a cozy, white turtleneck. I love the details on this dress; if you look closely you'll see that there's a pocket on each side. I must say, she looked adorable in this outfit!

She was wearing shoes (at one point), I promise!

Thanks, again, for visiting!

OOTD: Monday

Spring is right around the corner! So, as part of baby's outfit of the day, I opted for an adorable microfleece swing jacket (Crazy 8).  It's a great piece for making the transition into the upcoming season. If you love it, hurry (the link is below)! It is currently on sale for only $9.99 (originally priced at $24.95). And as you can see, I combined the jacket with leopard-print leggings and really cute, red shoes (Old Navy).

Are you ready for Spring to get here, already?

I definitely couldn't get a smile today :(
She was a little camera shy

I want these for myself, too!

Stylish ZZZs

If you haven't already noticed, Ralph Lauren Baby has become sort of a motif on this blog; I love the clothes! And as you can see above, my little girl is wearing a pink coverall (purchased at It is comfortable enough for baby to crawl and play in, but it is also perfect for baby to sleep in.  After all, there's nothing wrong with going to sleep in style, too! I love the ruffles on the neck, chest and upper back; but it has even more details that will make you want to get it for your little one. I will provide the link below for a more detailed view. It is available in seven colors and is currently on sale for $22.13.

OOTD: Wednesday

Hello! Today's post is a short one about my baby's casual outfit of the day. She is wearing a denim jacket and simple, silver shoes from Crazy 8.  She is also wearing jeans and a t-shirt from The Children's Place. FYI, I was determined to make her laugh today; you can only image all of the silly faces that I had to make!

She usually won't keep her shoes on for more than a few minutes.

The phrase on the shirt is in Spanish: "I'm going to be a Star."
It is only $5 at The Children's Place!

I only managed to get a smirk in this photo.

But she gave me a beautiful smile in this one!
I love this denim jacket! You can fold the sleeves up to reveal the blue polka dots.

Ready For School?!!

Okay, so she's only 6 months old and she's not quite ready for school. But she definitely looks ready in this ensemble (inspired by the classic school uniform)! I love dressing her up in sparkly, girly clothes too, but I also love to play around with different looks. Let me know what you think!

Crazy for Zara

I have an obsession with Zara for babies. They have the perfect, classic pieces for your little one! I got these mary janes for my baby a few weeks ago from the online store, and she has yet to wear them. If I remember correctly, they were priced at $25.99 (but they may have been on sale). I love the style of the shoes: simple, yet adorable. And what can I say about the bows? Too cute! Now I just need to find the perfect outfit to combine these with.

Colorblock Ralph Lauren Dress

How adorable is this colorblock dress by Ralph Lauren?!! As you can see, my little princess wore it for her (6-month milestone) photo session.
Even though Baby looks soooo cute in it, I must admit that the photo does not do it justice. The ruffles are much bigger, and the turquoise-colored back really adds a nice touch to the dress. If you love it, the link is below.
